Whether you go with a simple conventional style or custom-made bathroom vanity, prior to beginning, make sure you have enough room for the look you wish for.
Double or Single Sink? Vessel or Pedestal?
Your bathroom vanity typically includes a sink, a countertop, an area toiletries storage and linens, and a bathroom mirror.
Vanities come in six basic kinds: pedestal, floating, free-standing, under-mounted sink, and cabinet, and vessel.
Pedestal
Needing a very little area, a pedestal sink is the most straightforward kind without a countertop or areas for storage. It’s only a sink and a basin. However, it can fit into any kind of home and is easily installed.
Floating
Wall-mounted vanities, also known as floating vanities, are directly mounted (firmly) on your bathrooms wall. Provides your bathroom with an open, trendy appearance with floor space below it. If you don’t require much space for storage, you can simply have a countertop added.
Free-Standing
Similar to pedestal style, free-standing vanities also have a miniscule profile but are available in rectangular or square shapes that can uphold two sinks. Perfect for a master bathroom.
Under-Mounted Sink
Under-mounted sinks have an integrated basin mounted underneath the countertop of the vanity. This style has a streamlined, smooth look but has confined space below the sink and is a bit more challenging for installation.
Cabinet
Vanity cabinets are designed a lot like your kitchen cabinets with pull-out drawers that can be customized for your storage requirements. Available in a lot of cabinet door and hardware styles.
Vessel
This style lies above your counter with a bowl that rises from the sink area and has its own individual tap. Vessel sinks can be quite elaborate with complex designs and patterns and made of stoneware or metal.
Other Vanity Options
Not an obvious type but if you have a smaller bathroom, you may decide on a corner vanity to take advantage of the confined space.
After you decide on the size and style of your vanity, you are going to want to choose its material and shape, style of doors (excluding pedestals) and the proper countertop.
